Online Pictionary Challenge

Title: Online Pictionary Challenge Have fun and enjoy the game!

Purpose: To develop creativity, critical thinking and visual communication skills.

Instructions: (The teacher )

-The teacher must contact another country and plan an international day and meet withthe other “class”-must divide the students into two teams.

-Find subject-relevant things, words, tasks, etc. on what the teams have to draw ormime.

-Make sure everyone has access to the online drawing tool and a stable internetconnection, Teams or Google Meet.

The students:

-Each team takes turns choosing a member to draw or mime a picture/word using an online drawing tool such as Google Jam board, Microsoft Whiteboard or Sketchpad, Google meet, Teams. Everyone has to go through it.

-The selected member is given a word or phrase by the teacher to be drawn or mime. The opposite team must guess what is being drawn or what is being mimed and represent it within a set time limit (ex. 60 seconds).

-If the team guesses the word or phrase correctly, they earn a point. If not, the opposing team gets a chance to guess and earn a point within a set time limit (ex. 60 seconds).

-The team with the most points at the end of the game wins.

To make the game more challenging, categories such as animals, food, movies or famous landmarks can be used. You can also set a rule that the drawing member cannot use letters or numbers in their drawing.

Suggested words/sentences:

Animals: Cat, dog, elephant, giraffe, penguin

Tools: Broom, shovel, scissors, screwdriver, screwdrivers.

Food: Pizza, hamburger, ice cream, sushi, tacos

Movies: Titanic, Star Wars, Jurassic Park, The Lion King, Finding Nemo

Landmarks: Eiffel Tower, Statue of Liberty, Big Ben, Taj Mahal, Pyramids of Giza.
